Paige grew up in a small town in northern BC. She found her passion and her love for animals at an early age. This included volunteering at the local shelter and bringing home any stray she could find. It was no surprise that Paige found such a strong passion for veterinary medicine - although her path wasn’t typical.
In 2019, she volunteered in Mexico at a spay/neuter clinic, where she met Consuela (pictured). Consuela started out as a 0.9 lb malnourished puppy and has grown into a healthy 50 lb spunky girl. This experience is what motivated Paige to pursue a career as a technologist. She always goes above and beyond to make patients feel safe and cared for in the hospital. Paige has a knack for calming spicy kitties and is known in the clinic as the cat whisperer. She has a personal interest in advocating for all of the misunderstood animals she meets.
Paige joined the South Mission team in January 2023 with over 6 years of diverse experience in a variety of settings. She says she loves that no day is the same and that there is always opportunity to learn and grow. She is currently enrolled in the TRU veterinary technology program and can’t wait to continue making a difference in not only animals' lives, but also the lives of their human companions. When Paige isn’t working, you can find her spending time out on adventures with her boyfriend James, her kitty Mitsy, and of course, Consuela.
