Dr Amy Johnson grew up in Kelowna loving animals of all kinds. She attended the University of British Columbia for her undergrad, then went to vet school at the University of Edinburgh. She spent a couple of years in San Diego for completing a veterinary internship, then returned to practice medicine in her hometown! 

Amy really enjoys the challenge of practicing medicine where patients can’t speak to you, unlike in human medicine. She can enjoys the wide variety of things she gets to do each day, from surgery to dentistry -no day is the same! She appreciates that the profession is always evolving, that there is always opportunity to grow her skills, and how rewarding it is to have her patients feel better than when they walked in the door.

Amy's goal with every patient visit is to have a calm thorough exam, focus on the patient's quality of life, and have clients know that their pet is loved, and their best interest is always at the forefront of her mind.

Amy's furry family includes her adorable new Goldendoodle puppy, Potter Avocado Johnson!
